The Artisan Gallery is a space both intimate and modern. With clean lines, high ceilings, and an open feel, the Gallery is designed to showcase art of all size and media. Since opening in 2004, the Gallery has featured artists ranging from world-renowned to emerging talent.
Our vision is to provide opportunity for local and regional artists to show in an award-winning venue, to build community among local artists, and to offer a fufilling and lasting experience for every person who walks into the Artisan.
As a part of promoting a flourishing artistic community in Sacramento, we accept minimal commissions on all art sold in the Gallery and hold events in conjunction with most Second Saturday artist receptions.
Gallery Hours: The Gallery is open 6--9 PM for every Second Saturday, and during every event held at the Artisan.
theater
The Artisan Theater is an intimate, 85-seat performance space. Attached to the Artisan Cafe, the Theater is a perfect setting for small concerts, stand-up and improvisational comedy, training seminars, discussion groups, master classes, theatre productions, and dance performances.
Enjoying a growing reputation as one of the finest black box performance spaces in the region, the Artisan Theater is also home to the outstanding New Helvetia Theatre Company, which offers musical theatre at the Artisan every Spring and Fall.
event space
The Artisan at Uptown houses the elegant and versatile Event Space, which accomodates up to 275 people with auditorium seating. Featuring a stage, theatrical lighting, quality sound, and beautiful aesthetics, it is an ideal mid-size venue located 5 minutes from Midtown. European-style barreled entrances frame the venue, and easy load in/load out access makes it ideal for concerts and performances.
Breakout rooms are also available for conferences and seminars, and ample free parking is available at the Artisan.
